We’ve been doing this for years at Sierra at Tahoe. Some of the lots are positioned so that you can ski VERY close to your car.
We pack a small propane BBQ in the tube along with our skis. Lunch is dogs, sausages, and / or burgers, along with a couple choices of chips. Very fast, very easy, very filling… and lunch for four costs less than lunch for one at the lodge. A cooler full of water, sodas, and beers rounds out a nice lunch break.

Any suggestions as to making your SUV comfortable for an overnight lodge? Have done it flyfishing May to October.
