Sports Basement's Virtual Classes & Contests
We’ve got a variety of weekly events and fitness classes hosted every day. Let your little ones dance around to some live family jams or tune in to our weekly bike maintenance Q&A with an SB bike shop manager. If you’re in the mood to get moving, you can pick and choose which classes work for you or go big (and stay home) with a full week of workouts!

All of our classes are hosted via Zoom. Due to security issues, we've implemented a password for all zoom links that you'll see in your Basementeer emails. You can also message us at email@example.com or via Facebook Messenger to get the password.
HIIT at Home with Gabe - Mindful Monday
Mondays at 12:00pm-12:30pm
Gabe Schloss is born and raised in Sonoma county and currently works as a personal trainer with Corefit in Santa Rosa. His passion for fitness found him back in 2017 while he was recovering from a work accident that left him without much use of his left arm. Through exercise, and diet, he’s been able to restore his arm and continue to achieve goals he never thought possible and now he wants to help others find their flame through exercise.
Join him every Monday at noon for a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout using common things found around the house. Deep dive into the muscles you're working and how it impacts your body.

Afternoon Virtual Yoga

Margaret is a Certified yoga instructor and superstar staffer at our Berkeley Sports Basement.
Join us for 30 minutes of gentle yoga with Berkeley's own Margaret Sun. Relax your body and quiet your mind with a gentle flow. She’ll take you through a series of poses that will revitalize your Tuesday afternoon.
Weekly Bike Maintenance Q&A with Sean
Tuesdays at 7:00pm-7:30pm
Kick back for a mellow evening of bike-related questions with our Berkeley Bike Shop Manager Sean.
He’ll be leading a 30 minute bike maintenance class on Tuesday, 3/31, from 7-7:30pm. Grab your bike, a beverage, and enjoy learning some simple tips that will help keep your bike running smoothly from home.
Music Time with Megan Family Jam
Wednesdays at 10:30am- 11:00am
In 2018, Megan released her debut children's album, "Bubba & Boo", which won a Parents' Choice Award & a NAPPA Award and is currently working on a third album, tentatively set for a 2020 release. When Megan isn't making music, she's either to be found on her yoga mat, cooking up some gluten-free yumminess, or somewhere jamming with her 2 children, Kaia & Xavier (aka "Boo" & "Bubba").
Join Megan Schoenbohm for virtual Music Time with Megan: Family Jams on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Megan is certified to teach interactive music classes with families and she regularly teaches & performs all over the Bay Area. She offers music classes across Marin and also offers interactive music performances at birthday parties and special events.
HIIT at Home with Gabe - Work It Out Wednesday

Ready for a different workout with Gabe?! Break a sweat with personal trainer, Gabe Schloss, every Wednesday as he guides you through a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout using common things found around the house.
Weekly Circuit Training w/Certified Trainer Jaimie
Wednesdays at 4:00pm-5:00pm
Jaimie first fell in love with fitness after attending a CrossFit-style boot camp class in 2016. By 2018, she had earned nationally accredited certifications from American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and became a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness. She’s also completed several Spartan races, and holds a Spartan Training Certification. Recently, she completed a Behavior Change Certification course, as well as a Nutrition course through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
Join Jaimie for a circuit training class for all fitness levels. No traditional equipment required, most workouts will be bodyweight focused. Circuits will be performed in a timed AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) format so exercisers can adjust their own workout intensity.
Morning Virtual Yoga with Jean
Thursdays at 10:00am-11:00am
Jean is one of our regular Sports Basement Community yoga instructors and has taught classes at Sports Basement for over five years!
Stretch those arms and legs and release any tension during a relaxing mid-morning flow with Jean every Thursday.
Virtual Cycle Trainer Session with Anna Guzman
Fridays at 9:00am-9:45am
Anna has graced us and our customers with her triathlete knowledge for the past five years at our Sunnyvale store. She came in 2nd at Ironman Santa Rosa 70.3 in 2018 just missing the qualifications for World’s by one spot, so she decided to compete at the Ironman Santa Cruz 70.3 just two months later. She won her age group (and PR-ed in all three legs of the race, no big deal) and qualified for Ironman Worlds in Nice, France last September. She also went on to take first place in her age group at the 2019 Escape from Alcatraz triathlon!
Join us for our virtual cycling class with a two-time Ironman champion and Assistant GM at SB Sunnyvale, Anna Guzman. She will be hosting a group cycle session on Zoom at 9am. Everyone is welcome, just hop on your trainer, hop on the link provided, and get ready for a great ride!

Yoga + Mindfulness for Kids with Janet
Saturdays at 9:30am-10:00am
Taught by Janet Carter who is passionate about teaching yoga and mindfulness to children of all ages. She designs developmentally and age appropriate fun classes for children from the ages and stages of toddlers through teenagers. Janet believes that yoga can give children tools that can help them on many levels that include mentally, physically and emotionally.
From toddlers to teenagers! Let’s meet on the mat (or whatever you have) to get their weekend started right.These classes combine the use of imagination, music and games to create a fun and interactive environment. We use yoga poses, breathing exercises and mindfulness activities to help developing children explore and play.
Vinyasa Yoga with Janet
Saturdays at 10:15am-10:45am
Janet is an experienced instructor and is also the Yoga manager at Planet Granite in San Francisco and also teaches our Mindfulness + Yoga for Kids classes.
Get your weekend started right with Vinyasa Yoga with Janet! Janet has put together a series of movements to get you feeling good and limber. Her creative sequencing is grounded in the principles of alignment and breath awareness, offering a dynamic and centering practice.
Sunday Community Yoga
Sundays at 11:00am-12:00pm
San Francisco's Community Class is going virtual! Join one of our regular SB Community yoga instructors for a lovely morning flow. Let’s flow and sweat together. We can be a community while still apart. Flow, move, bend, twist. Breathe, stretch, strengthen, lengthen, open, release. Pajamas, families, babies, dogs, cats - everyone is welcome !
