No matter your workout, a well thought out nutrition plan - consisting of energy, nutrients and fluids - will keep your body well hydrated and functioning at peak levels! Check out the different nutrients you need below from the biggest in-store nutrition departments in the whole country!

Electrolytes

One of the most important pillars of sports nutrition is hydration. We lose a good amount of water and lots of sodium during exercise as we sweat. Water is the most basic form of hydration but depending on the intensity of the workout and how much you sweat, adding electrolytes can be a game-changer. Sodium, Magnesium and Potassium are good things to look for in sports hydration.

Carbohydrates

The most important energy sources for your workout are carbohydrates. Your body breaks down carbs into sugars for fuel. They can be found in foods like fruits and vegetables, bread and oats. For quick energy prior to or during a workout, use gels, chews or low-protein bars or waffles.

Protein

Made up of a chain of amino acids that are essential to every cell in the body. Protein plays an important role in muscle recovery and growth. They can be found in meats, fish and various vegetables. In sports nutrition, different types of protein come in the form of bars and powders for shakes so they can easily be taken after exercise.

Snacks & Treats

But let's not forget about the kind of treat you give yourself as a reward for breaking PRs, hitting your targets or just for making the decision to break a sweat. We sell a ton of ridiculously tasty non-workout treats, just to brighten your day. Enjoy!
