ABOUT THE SENIOR COASTSIDERS

Senior Coastsiders, located in Half Moon Bay, California, has been providing opportunities, support, and resources for older adults living on the San Mateo County coast since 1977. We celebrate the value of older adults and serve as a resource for the entire community for information, caregiver support, and innovative approaches to successful aging. THE HALF MOON BAY PUMPKIN RUN

The Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Run has been a community favorite for over 40 years, and all proceeds go directly to Senior Coastsiders to fund our many programs and services.

The Kid’s Fun Run, 5K, 10K and half marathon start from Hatch Elementary School and take walkers and runners past some of the most beautiful scenery on the coast. It’s great fun and a great feeling to know that you’re making a difference with every step you take. Some of the services you help support are:

CARE MANAGEMENT

Senior Coastsiders provides care management for older adults and their families, helping them cope with the different challenges they face, and we assess clients to determine their unique needs. We will also act as an advocate for clients on issues that support their wellbeing.

CLASSES & ACTIVITIES

We offer a wide variety of classes and activities to support the health, wellbeing and wide interests of our clients. Activities include water color painting, mystery book club, pilates, yoga, walking, qi gong, functional movement, pickleball, zumba, tax prep with the AARP, arts and crafts, creative writing and much more.

NUTRITION

The nutrition program is a cornerstone of Senior Coastsiders' services. We are fortunate to have a chef on staff who cooks delicious nutritionally balanced meals fresh every day that are either served in our dining or home delivered.

Senior Coastsiders' meals programs provide seniors with a nutritionally balanced meal as well as the opportunity for socialization. We are fortunate to have a chef on staff who cooks the meals fresh every day. The meals are available for anyone over 60 years of age.

HOME REPAIR

Our Home Repair program helps older adults remain independent and in their own homes for as long as possible by assisting with emergency home repairs throughout the year. Once a year, we sponsor an all day home repair project, where volunteers do projects like installing grab bars, doing yard clean up, painting and many other odd jobs.
