Our Vision

We envision streets where there is room for everyone to get where they need to go safely and comfortably. The rapid implementation of low-stress bike and pedestrian infrastructure, integrated with better transit and traffic management, will make Santa Rosa’s streets safer, healthier, and more vibrant for all, and will help our city meet its climate and equity goals. Our Organizing Model We are an all-volunteer group of parents, grandparents, and kids, committed to building connections, literally and figuratively, among our community. We have three main teams, each with its own focus -- growing our base through inclusive, joyful coalition building; educating city staff and leaders about the benefits of, and best practices in, multi-modal transportation networks; and accelerating our impact by drawing on a network of national active transportation experts. At the heart of our work is a monthly get-to-know-our-city ride -- designed for riders of all ages and abilities -- that helps foster a culture of active transportation, and explores the best Santa Rosa has to offer!

About Safe Streets Santa Rosa

Safe Streets Santa Rosa is a campaign to transform the streets of Santa Rosa, CA so they are safe and comfortable for all users. Spearheaded by Bikeable Santa Rosa and supported by many Sonoma County community organizations and businesses, our work is grounded in the belief that we all deserve to move freely, safely, and conveniently around town, regardless of what neighborhoods we live in or how we choose to travel.
