Sports Basement Raises $20,000 for Camp Fire Relief

The Camp Fire was the deadliest wildfire in California history. The smoky air outside of all our Bay Area stores was a constant reminder of the people directly affected by the fires, as well as the brave men and women fighting to contain them. We've never been a company that can sit back when our communities are threatened like this. From November 14th to December 31st, we began donating 5% of all of your purchases to fire relief efforts when you said “fire relief” at the register. And with your help, we raised $20,000 for Camp Fire relief efforts!

All donations raised were given to The North Valley Community Foundation. They are a resource to local community organizations and aided fire victims as well as first response agencies that were on the front lines fighting the fires.

Pictured above, is Jeff Anderson from our Bryant St. location who grew up and still has family in Paradise. We were so proud to have a long-time Sports Basement Staffer and Paradise native present the funds you all helped us raise!
