StarVista
StarVista is a nonprofit that delivers high impact services through counseling, skill development, and crisis prevention to children, youth, adults, and families. For over 50 years, StarVista has helped the community make positive changes in their lives by providing them with the support and tools to build their skills and enhance their strengths. Here are a list of their amazing resources as well as how you can help support from home!
During this rapidly evolving and challenging time, StarVista, a nonprofit that delivers high impact services, is focused on the community’s mental health and wellbeing and are committed to providing services to the most vulnerable populations. An essential service provider, StarVista is continuing to run all 30 of its programs and is working to meet the needs of the community.
Here are some of their programs and community resources at a glance!

StarVista’s First Chance Sobering Station, their two youth housing programs Daybreak and Your House South, and Former foster youth housing program are still working directly with clients to ensure they have a place to stay and essential services.

Their school-based, mental health, AOD, early childhood, crisis intervention, Pride Center, youth housing, mandated, and all other services are continuing using Telehealth.

StarVista’s Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center crisis hotline is available 24/7. If you are feeling overwhelmed with feelings such as sadness, depression, or anxiety, or are having thoughts of suicide, call 650-579-0350 or 800-273-8255. StarVista’s Differential Response program Resource Hotline works to connect people with a variety of local resources (such as emergency shelter and food assistance, parent resources, and many others). The Differential Response Resource Line can be reached at 650-489-2097.
Flexible funding and in-kind donations are essential for carrying out StarVista’s mission to serve their community, especially during these times. They are looking for In-kind donations to address their new emerging needs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
