Basementeer Spotlight: Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley

ABOUT THE WILDLIFE CENTER OF SILICON VALLEY

The Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley is a small 501c3 nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation center in San Jose, CA. For over 28 years we have been dedicated to providing sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in Santa Clara County and beyond with exceptional free care, rehabilitation, and the opportunity for release. We are also the only organization in the County to do so. Our staff of 10 employees cares for over 6,000 animals of 161 different species every year and is open seven days a week year-round.

Educating the public about coexisting peacefully with local wildlife is one of our primary goals. We are focused on community outreach and have a very active school program that teaches K-12 students the importance of living with our wild neighbors and how to help them. We also provide hands-on volunteer and internship opportunities to people 16 years and older.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT

The Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides free, high-quality care for over 5,600 wild animals a year. We are funded almost entirely by private donations, and couldn’t provide the services and quality of care we do without your generous support. Every donation is meaningful, and none too small.
