Wilderness First Aid (WFA)2-Day Certification Class

  • March 16–17
  • May 11–12
  • July 27–28
Trip Overview

Accidents happen. Would you know what to do? Get a nationally recognized WFA certification and be prepared when things go sideways. The emphasis is on making good decisions by staying calm and safe, doing a good patient assessment, and having good communication and leadership.

During two days of classroom and outdoor scenarios, students will learn about such injuries as shock and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, wounds, musculoskeletal injuries, heat and cold illnesses, wilderness specific procedures and much more.

Successful completion of class includes a 2 year Wilderness First Aid certificate.

While no physical conditoning is required, please be prepared for doing regular demonstrations and scenarios outside.  Wear clothing that is durable, with sturdy footwear, that you won't mind getting dirty.  Also, be prepared to be the sun and/or cold, depending on forecast.  Conditions by the bay can vary throughout the day, so prepared for any conditions.
