Hoka has won my heart with these! I'm in love with them!
As a college track athlete, I've always heard of how great Hokas shoes were for runners, and I decided to finally see for myself and get a pair. Originally I was going to get the Clifton 8 but when I saw them release the Mach 5 I immediately went for them. The Profly technology in these shoes is mag...

Manufacturing Defects
I am an avid fan of Hoka Clifton Edge, so I immediately gravitated towards Cliftons when the shoe was discontinued. It's just not the same shoe. Couple that with I have tried on about a dozen pairs of shoes in order to find 1 pair of Mach 5 that may or may not work for me for training. I had to try ...

I'll never buy white cloth again
Very comfortable but the white turns grey within a few wearings. I've dabbed them with a soapy cloth, even a toothbrush, but they don't get all the way clean. Then when I wear them the next time, more dirt, from the air, maybe, gets imbedded into the cloth and dirties it. I'm not rough on my shoes, just use them for walking, so this is ridiculous.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE
We are glad to hear our Mach 5 are comfy, but we definitely understand that white can be a pain in keeping clean. Please refer to care and cleaning information under our About US section on our help center link, located here: bit.ly/HOKAHelps.
WHY DO ALL THE HOKAS SQUEAK????`
I have a brand new pair of Hoka 5s that I purchased earlier this year and they make a horrible squeaking sound when I walk unless I'm on my very tiptoes. I have 4 other pair of Hokas that do the EXACT same thing and it drives me crazy! Hoka, PLEASE fix this or I will be forced to stop buying your products. I think I own about 12 pair of your shoes.

We don't want you to have to tip-toe when wearing your shoes. Typically, when shoes squeak it is a sign that there might be moisture trapped between the insole and the footbed. An easy fix can be done by shaking a bit of baby powder on the inner sole. Please keep in mind that we do cover our items for up to one year against any material or manufacturing defects. Head over to our site here bit.ly/HOKAWty for more info.
My favorite running shoe!
These shoes are responsive/ have bounce and keep my feet cool as I run. There is minimal drop even after MANY miles. Truly the best running shoe I've ever ran in. I hope they never discontinue this shoe.
Do not buy! Not worth the investment!
I invested in Hokas because they have the reputation of being a comfortable, durable, high-quality shoe. I bought my Mach 5's a little over a year ago, then they sat on a shelf for about 6 months. After 6 months, I dusted them off and started using them to walk the neighborhood about one to three miles, 3-5 times a week. In my book, that does not qualify as excessive use. But with that little use, the soles are already almost all the way worn through and the shoes are giving me foot issues now. Once I realized how worn the soles were, I was 2 weeks past the warranty date, so there's nothing I can do but warn the next customer. Only buy if you want to keep replacing them every few months... In my book, they're not worth the money.

We aim to provide products that withstand the test of time, so we recommend thoroughly exploring each new model with your 30-day trial (extended to 60 days for HOKA Members). This way, we can return and exchange if they differ from your expectations. In addition to the fly-for-30 trial, our one-year warranty is always here to support you. However, it’s important to note that the one-year timeframe is in place because material defects covered typically emerge within that period. To learn more about the warranty process and all that it covers, head to our site here: bit.ly/HOKAWty. As always, we are here to answer any questions via phone or chat at the number listed here: bit.ly/HOKAHelps.
I would buy this product again
This is another addition to my hoka collections. I love all my hokas!
Mach 5
I typically don't buy high priced shoes, but I had been getting so many recommendations on buying HOKA due to the great comfort. Although, im not a runner and average 6-10k of daily steps a day I guessed a running shoe would be suitable for walking. After 4 months im no longer sold. My feet ache, legs ache, wear compression socks for preventing varicose veins and shoes are very loud squeaks on unpaved floors. Maybe i just purchased the wrong shoe, but don't want to pay the price for another shoe only to be disappointed. I tried….
Running on clouds
New runner. Felt lots of pain in balls of feet, even when I was just walking. Thought it was age (50+), but figured why not try new sneakers. Research led me to Hoka Mach 5 and they are unbelievably comfortable. Foot pain literally disappeared within a week. Learned the value of investing in good gear!
First Hoka shoe, obsessed!
I've been wearing Brooks for years and was disappointed with my latest purchase. I mostly wear sneakers for walking and running (5k, 10k, 13.1m max) Took a risk and ordered these online based off of the reviews I read. Some reviews of the M6 concerned me - they said they run narrow and are stiff and they liked the M5 better… so I was happy to see the M5 was available. White would not have been my first choice but I must say, they are very stylish! They felt like a glove when I first put them on, comfortable and supportive…. Like I was walking on a cloud. Obsessed! I would say the break in period doesn't exist with these because they felt right straight out of the box. I did find that they are great for walking and running on the faster side. When slow running (4.0-4.8 on the treadmill), they feel a little bulky which is odd but I'm not mad about it because they feel bouncy and energizing when picking up speed (5.3-5.8 on treadmill). I have a short stride even though I'm 5'6 so that might be why. It's a joy to run in these. No foot pain. I'm feeling a little shin splint developing but that was going on before I got the shoes and is mostly due to adding on miles too fast. I'm about 10 miles in and I can't believe I ever wore a shoe that was not a Hoka.
Best running shoe ever!
These are the best running shoes I've worn in a long time. They are comfortable, lightweight and have just enough spring to them.
So Good!
I just got these today and I already love them. Compared to other sneaker brands, I can definitely feel the difference when walking and never noticed how little support my previous sneakers had until now! They're beyond comfortable and I like that they feel spacious. I am usually a size 10 in Nike so I got a size 9 in these and they're still a little bit big (which I love because I need more space for my feet while running!)
