Removing overlays and hotmelts, the stripped back upper has been consciously crafted with a plusher heel, reflective heel panel, and streamlined tongue with single side medial gusset. I replaced my old sneakers for this new pair and wow, did it make a HUGE difference. The inside is very cushiony and comfortable, and the structure of the shoes' sole provides much more stability for me keep on jogging/running!

I've been a Hoka Clifton user since the original version. This version Clifton9, seems slightly more narrow and a few of my toes were getting beat up from the side of the shoe. The wide version helps with that. Great solid shoe.

Bottom treads started peeling off after less than 2 months of wear. Couldn't wear anymore because was causing me to trip when walking. I was initially given a hard time when I brought them back to SB with the sales clerk claiming this was the natural course of wear-and-tear and I had reached their mileage. I was pissed because I mostly had work them for just work (standing/sitting in hospital) and playing pickleball once a week on indoor courts. My previous pair of Hokas (Bondi 8) lasted well over a year and am still wearing them as walking shoes. It's a pity because the Cliftons are comfortable and quite stylish. But am afraid to purchase again because others seem to have same issue
