Waist of money

First off..... I'm 5'4", 170 and 68 yrs . I started working as a cashier to subsidize my social security. I bought these running shoes after lots of research. As they were recommended for long periods of standing and walking on cement floors. I have worn them twice (7 hrs each day). To be completely honest, my feet started to ache and burn after 4 hours. My heals feel the most pressure as well as my upper back. I'm VERY disappointed in the Clifton 9!

I wore these shoes on a vacation to Portugal.Walked over steep cobblestone streets and my feet were not sore as the shoes provide good support and are so comfortable.
Clifton 9 - sole of shoe falls apart after 2 month

My daughter got the Clifton 9 for her birthday in February and used them only indoors in the gym. The sole fell apart and parts of the sole fell off. Never seen this before. Shoes were gently used (indoor gym, no marathon or heavy use). Very poor quality. We had Hoka many times in the family and very mostly happy - this is very disappointing quality

Used to love.. quality is not there anymore

I used to LOVE these shoes and would rave to everybody I know! I have a very flat foot and the Clifton 9's and Clifton 8's before they disappeared were my go to sneakers for working in the hospital to my everyday running/walking sneaker, truthfully I think I have bought 5+ since 2021. The last year though the bottom tread has been peeling up after only a month of wearing them. I exchanged the last pair last year (2024) thinking it was a defect because I loved these on my feet and the exchanged pair did the same thing!! My new pair I bought maybe 90 days ago are starting to lift on the bottom. I don't know that I will keep buying if this keeps happening. I trip on the tread when I run!
