Description

Built at the intersection of road and trail, the Challenger 7 GTX has been completely reimagined from the ground up. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, we’ve increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT with recycled content product technology for enhanced protection in inclement weather. Inspired by gravel tires, we’ve cued up smaller, tightly spaced lugs in center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter designed for improved traction on uneven terrain. Best for trail and all terrain running.

I'm a HOKA believer.

Okay, I am new to HOKA as of 2023. I am a 10 year fan of Asiscs and Asiscs ONLY. I have been 323 pounds and lost 110 lbs by walking, biking, weight lifting and more. My feet felt fine, but hurt after a while and my back kept hurting and I thought it was just me being overweight. My Chiropractor and...

I would not buy this product again

I now own seven pairs of HOKA shoes, so, clearly I'm invested in this brand. I use my Stinson 6's and Bondi 6's for running. They changed my life. Before finding them I was unable to do any running at all due to severe knee pain but the level of cushioning and ergonomics of these 2 brands allowed me...

Unsafe (second review)

Responding again to my first post as I have been unable to get in contact with a supervisor at HOKA. This is my second set of Challengers. The first one the toe box ripped and HOKA allowed me to return. Then with 4 months the second pair the same thing happened and in addition the tread came off creating a serious tripping hazard. HOKA said to return them but then denied the return. I asked to speak to a supervisor and would appreciate a call back. Regardless I will call in yet again as I feel it's important other consumers at least know how unsafe these are.

Terrible shoe, terrible customer service

I purchased this shoe in the fall and after each trail run in wet conditions my feet were soaked. Per Hoka customer service advice I finally sent them back as a warranty return. After 3 weeks my claim was denied and the shoe is being returned to me. Their excuse? If the shoe is not waterproof, it's not their problem, but rather a GoreTex issue and I should contact that company. This is just wrong! I purchased a waterproof shoe from Hoka and the company needs to stand by their product and not have the customer deal with component manufacturers. Now I am out the cost for the return shipping and stuck with a faulty shoe. Hoka, you just lost a loyal customer.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE

Walking away, frustrated after going through our warranty process is the last way we wanted you to feel. Warranty returns shipped back to our evaluation center will be linked to your pair’s manufacturing date unless proof of purchase is included. Because of this, we highly recommend including additional information within the return shipment indicating the purchase date within the past year for the best chance of your warranty being accepted. Regrettably, we can't override the final decision made by our Warranty Team. You can learn more about our warranty policy by visiting our site here: bit.ly/HOKAWty.

Unsafe

This is the second set of these GTX challengers I have had to return in almost less then six months. The first pair the toe box had a hole within months. The second pair (after being credited by Hoka) has steadily lost pieces of the sole creating a large tripping hazard. I am not a runner and just use these to walk at work during the day. The craftsmanship to have them last more then a couple of months is not there.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE

You should never feel unsafe in your pair and we encourage you to send back your pair through our one-year warranty bit.ly/HOKAWty. If you feel a different style could work better for your needs, we think you'll love our Stinson 7. Packed with cushion and and ready for anything, this style could be just what you need. Give them a try through our 30-day guarantee bit.ly/HOKA30Day and see if they are right for you.

Great overall shoe, just one issue

I love your product and these shoes did not disappoint. They are very comfortable. However, the 3rd time I wore them, I skidded down 3 steps at the bottom. The reason this happened is the heel area of the shoes are protruding a bit and that catches on the backs of stairs. I have had that happen in my other pair as well but was able to catch myself before it was an issue on steps. So, now I am being very careful to plant my foot a little further out on steps, so I don't catch the heels.

These shoes were cushiony but when I went to stand up there was a weird bulge in the shoe platform under the outside of my arches and I didn't like that…. Felt like that should have been under my arches instead. Immediately decided they had to go back.
