Finally got them!!
Steven here, I am a Army retiree living in Texas. I am a military contractor serving the needs of the U.S. army worldwide. Last year I learned about the awesome foot wear Hoka produces. I am 59 yrs old and flat-footed, with intermittent arthritic pain in my left big toe. I have tried many top end s...

Hoka is cutting corners in build quality, and it shows.
I've run exclusively in Hoka shoes for the last 6 years and this is the first time I can say I that I do not recommend this product. I've had the Speedgoat 2, 3, 4, and now 5 and have put extensive mileage on all of them. Out of all of them, the Speedgoat 5's have been the least durable. After about...

Quality went down in Speedgoats - CS Dissappointing
I run hokas since the model 3, for thousands of miles, I buy them yearly. For this speed goat that I bout December 2024, the vibrant part got dettached from the foam, clearly something that shouldn't happen. They asked me to send pictures of all angles, then ship them back and I got the shoes back home with a note that says warranty is only for 1 year and the issue is wear and tear. You. can clearly see how the sole is not even worn off the vibrant grippy part still has all the rugged edges. This shouldn't happen in 3 months, and it is clearly some quality issue as it got totally detached like the glue failed. I am not mad at the shoe or Hoka, maybe things happen, but the warranty support was terrible and really disappointing, they made me take ton of pictures, then send them, and they send it to me back telling me is my fault. In 3 months? I've been wearing speedgoats since 2019, all the evolutions and I can show you shoes with thousands of miles and not issues like this, even the chat person told me this isn't normal. It really feels like bad support when they say it is wear and tear after 3 months on something that shouldn't happen on a trail shoe.
FORE.
Until HOKA makes a golf shoe, this is what I'll be wearing on the links.
Great shoes for Golf
I have a bad ankle and struggle with traditional golf shoes when walking 18. Saw that Vijay Singh was using these and tried them out. By far the best shoes for golf I have tried. Had no issues walking and carrying my bag and the grip was as good as traditional golf shoes. I may get a midtop pair to try as well. My only comment would be that the new Speedgoats don't have more traditional colors so I hope Hoka will expand the range to include neutrals and more traditional color options.
Ok shoes but horrible customer service
I have bought many Hoka shoes directly from the website, but this time I wanted to try a different style. I really liked them, even better than the other model because these shoes were super comfortable but they started ripping on the side after just few runs. Since this happened within the return period, I sent them back. Now after more than 1 months, I still get no credit from Hoka. CS representatives are nice but they are not helpful and keep telling me different things. I am so frustrated and disappointed with the company. CS team has no effect on the returns department. Obviously, Hoka does not stand behind their product.

I would purchase this golf shoe over and over
Walking golf courses has never felt better.z
I would never buy Hoka again.
These shoes started falling apart about 5 months after I purchased them. The upper started to separate from the sole. I am not a runner and do not put extensive miles on my shoes. I went through the warranty process. After answering many questions, sending pictures, and receiving assurances that these should be covered due to a known defect on this model. The shoes were later returned with a reason of "the brand warranty period on this product has expired." The shoes that were 7 months old were no longer covered under the 1 year warranty. When I called, I was given the straight answer of there is nothing we can do, the decisions are final and cannot be changed. The shoes are not durable and their warranty is a sham. I would stay away from these overpriced shoes and the company that does not stand behind them.

Our intention was not to cause frustration with our warranty policy. Due to many varied factors such as terrain, frequency of wear and natural elements, some pairs may wear quicker than others. Although we do cover manufacturing and material defects, normal wear and tear is not covered under our warranty. Unfortunately, we are not able to override the warranty department's decision. Need more padding
Speedgoats were nice shoes for running ultra events. They were conformable for long runs on uneven terrain These shoes need more padding. They are not as comfortable. It seems like the only difference between the trail runners and the road shoes is the tread, The same thing happened to my first Hoka trail runners. Then I switched to the speedboats and now its being repeated. I can't even choose trail running on the Best for selection for this review. Seems like it's not really a running shoe company anymore.
Great trail shoe!
Bought these for my first 50k race and they were amazing, perfect amount of cushion and support. Never had any issues with blistering or discomfort the entire race. Highly recommend for running or hiking on the trails! These are my go to trail running shoes.
SPEEDGOAT5
they are more comfortable to run. first time shoes are new and stiff to be worn. they will get to be used after wear 3 or 5 times.
Not sure what happened
Had a pair of Speedgoat 3 that I used for trail runs on weekends for a couple of years without issues. I bought the Speedgoat 5 about a year ago, for the same ocasional trail runs, and yesterday towards the end of my trail run the shoes were causing pain on the skin on front/inner side of my arches. It was painful to walk on the shoes afterwards. Not sure I will be able to run on them again.

Just because these did not work out, doesn't mean we don’t have a model just for you. Finding the right pair takes time. Try our shoe quiz bit.ly/HOKAShoeFinder to get recommendations for other styles that might be better aligned for your needs. Don't forget we have a one-year warranty bit.ly/HOKAWty on all our products that covers defective materials and craftsmanship. We have no doubt you will find a pair you’ll love.
