Description

A high performance climbing shoe purposely built to provide the solution for modern bouldering problems.

Wrapped in sticky Vibram XS Grip rubber and drastically down-turned, the Solution sports a molded 3D heel cup and the patented P3 Power Platform which retains the downturned shape of the shoe. This creates a shoe that hooks, grabs, edges and smears on any feature you can find. The Lock Harness System surrounds your foot and unifies it with the upper for a perfect fit. The highly adjustable Fast Lacing System lets you tailor the quick closing hook and loop closure for a highly personalized fit. All said and done, this shoe will let you climb harder.

Updated Classic

Same great shoe but with wider and more durable straps! Patch of toe rubber on top of forefoot feels slightly thicker than previous models and gives the toe-box a slightly different feel, breaks in nicely and I can hardly tell the difference after 10 pitches. Favorite shoe of all time.

Fits great but straps break fast

I've had these shoes for less than a month and the straps on one of them are already coming apart after working on a project with a toe hook on an arete. While breaking them in hasn't been easy the shoes fit really nice. Probably my last pair that has straps and not laces.

Comments about White/Yellow / 39.5

Excellent all-round performance shoes. I use the solution and solution comp for almost all of my climbing. I size this down half size compared to the solution comp to fit the bigger heel cup and for better edging. The only down side is that the strap breaks a lot easier compared to other strap options, but usually it breaks about the time when the sole is worn out. If you don't resole then it is not really a problem.

Favorite Climbing Shoe! My street shoe sizes is 7.5 I own these in 39 and 39.5 Based on the size chart I should have 38.5 but it's too small and uncomfortable. 39 fits perfect and I wear them in cooler ideal climates and 39.5 are a little loose which I wear in warmer temps when my feet are a little swollen from heat. I use these for all sport climbing, vertical and overhanging. I own the women's version as well and don't really notice the difference.

Great shoe, with some flaws

I've had this shoe for a couple months now and I can say that these live up to the hype. They edge very well, and heel hook like no other. They can even hold their own on the slab. However, I have a couple complaints about this shoe. The main issue is, after 2+ hours of use a huge blister forms on my big toe. Taping my toe doesn't seem to help it at all. However, this could just be a me thing, so this might not apply to you. Also, the break-in period was the worst break-in period i've ever had. These HURT for the first few weeks. However, they now feel great.

I've had these for 2-3 weeks and after every session some bright yellow residue is left on my feet. It's not toxic or smelly but it's pretty gross looking.

I've been wearing solutions since I bought my first pair of high performance shoes. I love love them so much! I can't count how many I've gone through but it's not only my aim outdoor shoe but also gym shoes. These babies heel hook like a boss and stick to anything. I trust them and wouldn't trad these for any other shoes.

I absolutely love these shoes. I still remember the first time I tried them on, I saw a great improvement in my climbing. The stitching still holds, no ripping or anything breaking down over the years, still climb like new.

The solutions have been my most purchased/go to shoe since I discovered them over 3 years ago. Having started with the original solutions, and now having own more than 4 pairs (with more to come), I really can't begin to express my love for these shoes. If you are looking for a shoe that will break in rather quickly, fit like a glove, retain it's edging ability, and crush on steep technical terrain, look no further. Inside or out, bouldering or leading, you really can't ask for a better all around pro level shoe.
