Amazing hiking/hunting boot
I have put over 100 miles on these boots since I got them on 4/10/19. I seriously cannot find a flaw with them & I am very particular about my footwear. I work outside, & I spend the vast majority of my free time outside, so I am very hard on my gear. The first thing to you need to know about these...

Awesome hoka feel, but serious durability issues
I'm a Hoka running shoe loyalist. I have run in the Speedgoat, Vanquish, Clifton, Bondi, and Clayton and I love everyone of them for their own specific uses. They have been a complete game changer for me. After my first experience with Hoka hiking boots, however, I am a bit lukewarm. I spend a lot ...

Most Comfortable Shoe I Have Ever Owned
Comments about Sky Kaha
These boots are extremely impressive. So far I've taken them on a 60 mile backpacking trip on the Appalachian trail, across many day hikes, and up steep technical trails at Zion National Park. They exceeded my expectations in all categories. They are light, breathable, and so comfortable I don't even rush to take them off after a long day's hike. The grip and stability are great. The shape/style takes a little to get used to but I wouldn't trade them for anything at this point. I will definitely check out Hoka Hoka shoes going forward. Highly recommended! Note that they ran big for me, I am typically a 9.5 and got a 9 for this boot.
Always a fan

As winter sets in, I'll be using these as my day to day work/life shoes
I will continue buying these shoes
Comments about Sky Kaha
I'll start off by saying that I'm on my feet on concrete in a wet stone shop for 60+ hours a week. When I'm not at work I hike 10-15 miles on the weekend. On top of all that I have an extremely bad case of Plantar Fascitis. These have been the most comfortable high top shoe I've ever worn. I can be on my feet for much longer than my ASOLO hiking boots. The shoes get excellent traction on varied terrain. They handled the 14 mile hike from Glacier Point to the Yosemite Valley quite well. I purchased a pair in March I believe and it's now almost November. I probably won't get a whole lot more mileage out of these. That would be my only complaint, I like to get a full year of use out of my shoes. However, the waterproof liner has failed and I'm having to apply glue to various parts. I imagine most folk will get more time out of theirs, I put my shoes through a lot of abuse.
Comfortable feet all the way to Mount Whitney summit!
Comments about Sky Kaha
Bought these especially for hiking non-technical 14ers and promptly did a one-day hike from portal to summit of Mount Whitney and back; I've long been a user of Hoka shoes for my regular distance running over the past decade and have been impressed with the comfort, weight, and rocker tech. The Sky Kaha more than met my expectations, the liner was definitely waterproof through the creeks. I even took a picture of them on my feet at the top, although that seems a little silly in hindsight. Thanks for making these; keep up the great work!
I have worn Hoka One One's exclusively for the last years

I don't own a car and I walk everywhere. I live in Astoria, Oregon, so waterproof footwear is a necessity. I walked across the Youngs Bay Bridge this morning in partly rainy to gale like weather and during the whole trip my feet were extremely comfortable, warm, and dry.
Perfect boots right out of the box!
Comments about Sky Kaha
I bought these right before an aggressive backpack trip, knowing full well there would be zero break in time. But I had to have waterproof boots since the forecast was for severe weather. These boots worked flawlessly, did not rub me anywhere , kept me warm and dry in 14 degree, 35 mph snowstorm at 9000+ feet! I'm very impressed. I have had several Hoka running shoes, these were my first backpacking boots. I'm sold!
Hiking on Cloud Nine
Comments about Sky Kaha
I have very high arches and had surgery on the ball of my right foot several years ago, so maximum support and cushioning are essential to me. I first tried a pair of hoka trail shoes for my daily power walks and found them so incredibly comfortable that I decided to try the Kaha hiking boots in place of the Asolo hiking boots that I have used for years. The Kahas, like the hoka trail shoes, are incredibly light, but with plenty of ankle support for hiking rough trails. Even after hours on rocky trail, I feel like I'm walking on air. Love my hokas!
I would not buy this product again

I wore these once on a 6 mile hike with my prescription orthotics. It felt like I was walking on rocks with no cushioning from the boots. I was very disappointed.

Comments about Kaha, 09.5
I love the outdoors. Hunting, hiking... All that started coming to an end when I began developing chronic foot pain. Even with custom arches, I couldn't walk for long distances anymore and had basically accepted the fact that my hiking and hunting days were pretty much over. Then I found these. Combined with my arch supports, my world has opened back up again. My foot pain is virtually non-existent and I am starting to do the things I love in the outdoors. Thank you for making these boots.

This Hoka is not for me
Comments about Sky Kaha
I do a lot of backpacking every year in the northeast as I complete the Appalachian Trail and bag the highest summits around the country so I'm pretty hard on hiking boots. I love Hokas overall for running and hiking but this boot was not for me. As soon as I put it on I could feel it rubbing against my heel in an abrasive way. The boot didn't work with my foot as I walked so I didn't need to even test it out any further. That doesn't mean it isn't an awesome boot for someone else, but it doesn't work with me. I bought a pair of the TOAs instead, and I hope they are as awesome as my Tor Summits and Tor Tech boots have been over the years!
