Almost Got It, Hoka
Lovely to walk in, less of an arch than the standard Ora (as indicated by the Neutral category). Material feels good and quality, seems durable after a week. This clog has great potential. Very clear and present cons: - It is rather toasty as others have noted. On one hand, it's nice to walk in dewy...

Attractive, but not practical
Thought this would be the perfect upgrade from Crocs. I've been happy with my Hoka running/gym shoes, and recently slides. This could have been a contender... My biggest issue is the removeable (but needed) insert. Why does this need to be a separate component? There is no apparent reason to wear wi...

Ora recovery mule
They were a gift. My friend said she loves them. The fit, comfort is amazing.
Favorite shoes
I have slides, flips, mules and Clifton's love them all, stopped my foot pain and let me enjoy my life with foot support, they are my only shoe choice now, I have a wide selection of colors to match my mood!
Web's review
As In a great Hoka tradition, well designed and built shoe. Great just to slip on for a short walk.
Great looking shoes, but sizing was off.
I ordered my normal size 11, but something with this pair was not quite right. Both were tight, with one more so than the other. If ordering a pair I would go a size larger to give your feet some extra space.

He wanted to love them
For years I've raved about how wonderful Hoka shoes are and how they're the answer to all of my foot issues and talked my husband into finally trying a pair. Sadly, they did not work out. The recovery mule uses some sort of insert that doesn't give it the same amount of support as the recovery slide. It also kind of feels awkwardly placed within the shoe. He felt like it made his foot actually hurt worse than the old pair of shoes he was wearing previously.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE
This is not the experience we wanted for your husband with the Recovery Mule style. Please send this pair back so we can get him into a pair that should be everything he'll love. The Restore TC shoe might be the perfect option for him. It's quicky becoming a HOKA fan favorite crafted with barefoot friendly full-knit sock with engineered stretch zones for comfort. The exchange process bit.ly/HOKAEXRT is easy to navigate through. We hope you allow us the chance to provide him with a pair that delivers the comfort and support he deserves.
It broke the third time wearing
Third time wearing and they already ripped on the side! It tore between the holes. I thought these were sturdier and I have never had sandals rip on me like this before.

More comfortable than expected
As my Hoka sandals were getting worn out it was time to try something a little bit different. I'm glad that I chose the Recovery sandals, they are extremely comfortable even for my flat feet plus my toes are protected.
Love them just the way they are
I have wide, flat feet. I previously used the Hoka recovery slides as my everyday running errands shoes, but the biggest downside was that (especially for lighter colors) they just get dirty so easily. I wanted something like my closed crocs, but with much better cushion and support. Although these are considered "Neutral" shoes, and I generally wear Gaviotas and Arahis, I genuinely love these.
