Ice, snow and beyond
I have owned a pair of Kahtoolas for more than 10 years, and never regretted spending $$ on them. The first outing was summitting Mt Washington, and I've used them on many peaks, flatter trails, and iced-up rivers and ponds since. I even use them when shoveling a slick driveway. They are useful on p...

Soft rubber breaks
These spikes lasted about half of a season of ice fishing. They were on pack boots and fit fairly well. You definitely wanted to put these on in the house where they are warm and get them on good. I wouldn't even try to get them on outside. The rubber stretches great. Maybe too great. It seems...

Kahtoola Microspikes
I own one pair of these already and find them to be excellent for light to moderate hiking. If you're climbing in the Presidentials of the White Mountains in winter, you might want even more aggressive spikes. A very well made product, produced here in Maine. I use them regularly while harvesting ice commercially from Squam Lake, NH.
No more falls on the ice
It's great fun to strap these on your boots and walk with ease on icy surfaces.
Lifesavers!
I successfully completed an icy hike up Cadillac Mtn in Acadia with my MICROspikes 1/1/24. It would not have been safe without them! The size was perfect for my 9 1/2 boots.
Must have for winter!
So easy to put on and take off! Makes hiking in the ice or snow safe and fun!
Spikes to the Max.
These are tough spikes, more suited to very icy conditions. The spikes are longer and tough.
Disappointed
Have been using these a few weeks and although they may be fine on ice or packed snow, they are terrible on heavy, wet snow. The snow packs on the spikes and you are left trying to dislodge the heavy, icy clumps while trying to stand or walk.
Perfect!
Yes. They work. No way could I get through winter without them. Lots of shoveling on a long very steep driveway at 8500'. I always have a spare pair just in case. But it took about 10 years for anything to happen to my first pair. Don't hesitate on these.
Love these Microspikes.
These are great for traction in ice and snow while hiking. Very strong and stable.
Easy to carry and put on.
Very easy to get on. I had a different brand before that I could not get on without help.
