This years model has improved a lot with a more secure and locked-in feeling in the Heel and midshoe (which is exactly what was missing in all the models after the Gel cumulus 16) but unfortunately the Toe Box shape hasn't been designed well since the curve around the little toe, 4th toe and middle ...

Probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Cushiony soft yet sturdy, they protect my feet equally well on running workouts and for walking around while recovering. I ran a PR on a 7K in these shoes. I was disappointed in the colorway though: the green looked more serpentine in the photo but in reality is more of a blah Army green.

Good bang for the buck

I've been running in ASICS shoes for over 30 years. I recently bought a pair of the Gel Cumulus 24's. So far, after about 20 miles, they feel very good. These shoes are very comfortable with the proper amount of cushion. I wear a size 10 and they seem to fit pretty true to size. It's a very good neutral running shoe for every day workouts. When it's time to replace these, I will more than likely look for another pair of these Cumulus 24's.

I thought the best shoes I ever bought were the Brooks Ghost running shoe. I still defend those, but these compete. The upper is breathable and comfortable, while the soles are solid and supportive. I have high arches and walk a lot during the day, so it's vital to have a solid base. These might be a touch on the firm side, depending on what you need, but they felt great from minute one. Normally I use the lack lock for more comfort and stability, but these don't need it. If you're an under pronator with serious arches, I'd wager you'll be pretty happy with these.
