They are OK -- Jury still out; but mostly like them.
I run 5 to 7 days a week; anywhere from 3 to 8 miles a day. I got my first Hoka shoes, Clifton 7, in March '21. They worked very well for me, retired them at 500mi, still in light walking use. I got a pair of Clifton 8s in late June '21. Again, they worked very well for; took them to 630 mi...

I Really Wanted to Like These But...
Stats - male, 5'11, 190lbs. 20 years running, 5k-marathons. I've been a Hoka fan since trying my first pair of Clifton 1's back in 2014. Hoka has been frustrating me off and on since then. They are a company that has a lot of misses with a few hits occasionally sprinkled in. I was hoping that th...

I am a HOKA believer
Great shoe(s). Makes running easy and pain free. Supports my knees and lower back. And my feet feel great after a run.
I wouldn't recommend
They rubbed my feet so bad I got numerous blisters . I had to stop wearing them. Toe box is small

The Clifton Edge is comfortable, but it's just a bit clunky for my running style. I've given it a couple of weeks and have chosen to go back to my previous pair of running shoes.
Hoka Clifton Edge - First Time
I've been running is Asics Gel Nimbus for the last 10 years. Saw great reviews about the fit and cushioning in the Hoka Clifton Ege. I decided to try the Hokas. What I like about the Hoka is the sock like tounge. Easy to slip on and snug around the top of the foot. Unfortunately the Hoka Clifton Edge isn't nearly as cushioned as the Nimbus. If you are truly looking for a cushioned trainer, I'd point you toward the Nimbus. Quick note on sizing....most recommend a sizing up a 1/2 size on the Hoka Clitfton Edge, I sized up a full size. I'd say the Hoka is in between a 1/2 to a full size up. I probably would have been OK sizing up a 1/2 size; but it might have been snug.
