Description
A trusted trainer for daily maintenance miles, the Clifton has been the keystone of Hoka's cushioned styles for 10 years and counting. Ushering in a new era of plush performance, this next-generation update delivers a revitalized underfoot experience with an additional 3mm in heel-to-toe drop. Delivering the same ultralight cushioning that made the Clifton a fan favorite, they’ve fine-tuned the fit and added a breathable jacquard upper with double-lace lock to mitigate tongue migration. Hoka refined the heel, enhanced the underfoot transition, improved the forefoot fit, fine-tuned the midsole geometry for an inherently stable ride, and added a double-lace lock that makes getting in and out even easier.

Still the best shoes
I have 4 pairs of the Clifton 9. I love them that much. I was skeptical about the Clifton 10, but I knew I could try them at home and return them if I didn't love them. I'm happy to say I couldn't have been more wrong. The Clifton 10 are just as wonderful. They have the same stability, comfort, and ...

A week into training, I'm looking at alternative brands...
I've been a die-hard Clifton supporter for years, but I have to say, a week in and 50 miles later, I'm questioning the changes that Hoka made between Clifton 9s and 10s. Normally Cliftons are ready to hit the road without any break-in time or major adjustments. I'm not sure which of these updates ar...

So Far Good
I have never bought shoes at this price level so I was a little gun shy about doing it, But I'm glad I did, they are comfortable, I just wish we could custom the color combinations, Like black and orange and black and blue, but not over the top
Soles dont last
I walk 10 miles per day 7 days a week...they lasted 7 weeks...not impressed...soles dont last

Whether it's one mile or 100 miles, your pair should provide a comfortable ride for all of them. If you feel your pair isn't holding up the best, you can send them in to be evaluated for material defects through our one-year warranty.
I'm not sure which of these updates are contributing to my foot's distress, but the aggregate has had an impact: The move from a 5mm to 8mm drop, a change in last (i.e. foot shape), and the foam choice/design/weight make this shoe feel really heavy. Post run, I'm having arch support soreness, and during the run, my metatarsals and heel are getting pounded. For the first time, I'm looking at other brands for my long runs because it's painful to run... For any new runners out there, I would still recommend trying Cliftons. It's historically been a great shoe; however, my recent experience hasn't been great. Maybe QC in manufacturing, maybe my foot shape is too far from their new last, or maybe I've been too much of a Hoka loyalist and I should have been running in other brands to validate Hoka is still the best shoe for me. This time around I just can't turn a blind eye.
I will buy this product again and again!
I walk 4 to 8 miles a day on concrete floors. I stopped having feet problems once I got the Clifton model. I can not say enough as to how much they have helped!
Needs improvement
The sneaker has beautiful colors but it lacks arch support in each shoe and my foot tends to lean inwards a bit because of its lack of arch support. guess I need to buy some supports.
Nice and cushy
Coming from Nike, trying a new brand. Nike is snug which I actually miss. The Hoka feels loose in comparison. Perhaps sizing half down helps or just get used to the fit? I like the way the shoe looks and feels when walking. Very cushy and supportive. I'd get these again. More bright colors would be nice. I got the blue. Perhaps add some reds, yellows, or oranges.
Phenomenal shoe!
Most comforable athletic shoe I've ever owned! They improve your walking and running by propelling you into the next stride.
Super Comfortable
I bought the Clifton 10 as an all around trainer/running shoe and I couldn't be happier with the fit and performance. They fit true to size and have plenty of room in the toe box. They're light weight with plenty of support for quick side to side movement without slipping, and the cushioning is fantastic while on a run.
