Description
Street-approved. Trail tested. Built at the intersection of road and trail, the Challenger 7 has been completely reimagined from the ground up. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, Hoka increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added proprietary rubber to the bottom unit, along with a reimagined outsole design for the best all-terrain ride yet. Inspired by gravel tires, they’ve cued up smaller, tightly spaced lugs in center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter designed for improved traction on uneven terrain.

Worth a Try

This is my first time trying a crossover shoe that combines both trail and road shoe features. I was a little skeptical but made the purchase thinking they could help me for a race on a hard packed and not so technical trail. They performed great! After 67 miles I only changed socks once and even th...

This shoe is not worth the money.

Let me start off with the facts: I didn't buy these from this site. They were suggested by an authorized dealer, as I suffer from intermittent plantar fasciitis. I am overweight. Most shoes I buy around $40-50, because I go thru them quickly. However, my roommate/best buy decided to spoil me for my ...

This is my 3rd pair of this exact shoe (which obviously tells you I really like them). However, the last two pairs haven't been as good as the first pair. The last couple of years they have come in wide despite me ordering the regular width. The sole isn't quite as soft as the original pair. Overall I still like them, but they aren't as good as they were 3 years ago.

I bought a pair of these Challenger 7's in 2023 and have never been happier with a shoe. After 2 years they are still comfortable but the tread is shot. Purchased another pair at the same shoe store and another pair online. I am a happy customer.

Love the color. Loved the sale price. Lots of room in the toe box. I needed a W width, so I will have to return.

I am 64, walk about 5 miles a week, the tread started delaminating after about 2 months and was about 1/2 gone at 8 mo. I submitted a warranty claim as they have a one year warranty, it was denied. I have not had this problem before with other brands, tried Hoka, but not again.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE

When your pair doesn't hold up as expected, we know it is frustrating as our goal is for you to fly for miles. Due to many varied factors such as terrain, frequency of wear and natural elements, some pairs may wear quicker than others. Although we do cover manufacturing and material defects, normal wear and tear is not covered under our warranty. Unfortunately, we are not able to override the warranty department's decision. loved this shoe in the olive color , got it in wide which was not very wide like my other Hoka's…after an hour of wearing they really hurt my feet so I gave them to my husband…I always buy Men's wide hoping the toe box will be wider….Please bring this Challenger 7 back in an "EE" width so I can repurchase. Thx Kathleen Welch
