Carbon X: My first pair of HokaOneOne
I'm about 25-35 mile/week 50-55YO runner that's still trying for PR's everytime I race (perhaps not hard to do since I didn't start racing until 50 YO). I also like to rotate from brands-to-brands / shoes-to-shoes because I subscribe to the theory that rotating will deter bad habits and injuries. ...

Best and Worst Shoe all in One
I only wear Hoka's and was stoked to try this shoe. They fit perfect, the ride was smooth and cushioned as expected, but the firmness of the carbon plate and response was amazing. Not even close, these were not only the best Hoka's I've worn, they are probably the best running shoe I've ever worn....

Save your money
Spent around 200 bucks on these shoes, not even after 2 miles got terrible arch blisters, Im a big time runner and never had this issue with brooks, Nike, or my new balances, if you don't mind wrapping your feet in duck tape before every run they maybe manageable.
I would buy this shoe again
I like how light it is. My only improvement I would suggest is that is doesn't feel as supportive for my feet as the last pair that I had
Maybe the Best Distance Shoe
The Carbon X's are amazing shoes. I didn't know what running was until I discovered my first pair. Running became more enjoyable than ever largely due to the shoe's amazing toe off and perfect fit. Everything from snugness around my foot, the toe box, the heal, and the general support of the shoe on the bottom of my foot feel great. However, on my second pair, it seemed like the rocker was a bit farther towards the tip of my toes than my first pair. Both shoes were the same size. So my only drawback is that I'm not sure how replicable Hoka can make their shoes given that one shoe felt different than the exact same model. The problem seems to be fixed if I really make sure my foot is all the way forward and this doesn't cause issues with the heal. Interesting nonetheless.
I would recommend and purchase this product again.
Very responsive with great midsole push.
Best running shoes ever bought
I have my fair share of running shoes over the years until a friend suggested the Hoka brand to me. Bought my first Carbon X and I will only use this brand for comfort and durability.
My favorite shoe I've ever used.
I run about 800-1000 miles per year, and these have been my favorite. I've tried the Carbon X2, but prefer these. No foot pain, and my foot feels almost naked when running. Light, breathable, perfect cushion, and springy action Cons. Not the best in wet or icy conditions due to the lack of tread. Also tend to wear out faster than Brooks ghost or Hoka cliftons
