Description
The ultra-cushioned game-changer. One of the hardest working shoes in the HOKA lineup, the Bondi 9 delivers peak plushness for everyday miles. Overhauled from top to bottom, they’ve increased the stack height and added a new premium foam midsole to deliver that soft, resilient ride that’s become synonymous with the Bondi. Elevated with a 3D molded collar and structured knit upper with zonal breathability, this ultra-cushioned cult favorite has been finished with Durabrasion rubber to combat high wear zones.

Bondi 9 12.5 EW (all black) most comfortable shoe ever!
OK, I've only owned them for a week, but these 12.5 EW's get a no-brainer 5 Star rating from me! And if they only last 3-4 months, I'll be disappointed, but will still give them 5 Stars. Hands down the most comfortable and best fitting running/walking/hiking shoes I've ever worn! BEWARE OF SIZING...

Bondi 6-8 END OF ERA giving us the Bondi 9 and I'm SAD
I get 10+ pairs a year of Bondi shoes. Bondi 6 shoes, the BEST EVER IMO, and have worn all Bindi series since Bondi 1, The Bondi 6 will always be king of the BEST. CON: fit and feel. These ARE NOT BONDI 6 feeling shoes, and the feeling like walking/running/working in construction or any job imo….is...

Third pair
These shoes are absolutely 💯 worth every penny. I can work 6-7 hours on my feet and when I get home every part of my body hurts except for my feet 👣. I had purchased bondi8 twice and the 9 is even better (if that's possible).
Easy on the knees
What a great pair of shoes this is ! I am somebody who runs in my neighborhood (sidewalks, street, paved roads etc) since there are no running trails near my home, and used to get knee pain right after a run. But ever since I got these Hoka Bondi 9, I feel like my runs have gotten easier and I do not feel so much strain on my knees anymore. The large sole/cushion does provide a bouncy feeling and because of this I have added 10min more to my daily running time, without the added effort because the shoes are so good.
most likely, a really good shoe but not for me
Initially, the shoe felt very comfortable. I have metatarsalgia. However, when I tried to run in the shoe, it was too soft for me and aggravated the metatarsalgia.
Pay attention! Ordered a regular and got a Wide. 2nd time
The shoes are great but no excuse sending the wrong product, AGAIN!

Awesome for baseball base umpiring
I've been wearing the Hoka Challenger 7 wides and Bondi 9 extra wides for "base shoes" while umpiring baseball this season since it stopped raining. My 62-year old arthritic knees under my overweight body have never been happier. The Challenger 7 is a trail runner/hiker, so have great traction sole. Very light weight, and they breathe (are cool on hot artificial turf—cooler I should say). They will collect dust, but clean up easily with just a touch of water and a brush. The Challenger 7 wides are not quite wide enough for my feet, so I had to go a half size up to get a little more width. For wide feet like mine, the Bondi 9 "extra wide" all black is simply the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn anywhere, with maximum cushion for the knees (also light weight and very breathable). They also fit my foot to size. The sole doesn't have as good traction, but they are like running on clouds. For dry conditions or artificial turf, "sublime" is the word that comes to my mind. I have both—and I find myself wearing the Bondi 9 extra wides everywhere off the field. I find both to be very stable with lateral movement while umpiring, and the durability so far has been great. They ain't cheap, but for my arthritic knees they have been worth every penny. Even if they end up breaking down quicker than my official "umpire base shoes" from another manufacturer, I'll probably still buy another pair of each. I now wear the others just for wet conditions. And if Hoka ends up selling an all black extra wide trail runner/hiker, I will probably hoard a few pairs for the future. Neither of these shoes was designed for baseball umpires, but boy am I glad I got both!
Bondi 9 Saved my Feet (diabetic)
Perfect for neuropathy. On my feet all day as a cook. The plush shoes are perfect for heel strikers. My Bondi 6's finally wore out & these are better.
Excellent shoe but noisy!
Have worn a number of Hoka shoes to include the Arachi, Gaviota, and Challenger ATR 7. I can honestly say that these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn for every day use. The only issue I have is the fact that they give a noticeable "squishy" sound as you walk, especially while indoors. I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned it in reviews. Maybe it's because I have big feet. Otherwise, an excellent comfortable shoe.
LOVE THESE!
They are so comfortable. Was afraid to get them at first and my expectations would be too high, but no they are great!
