GirlVentures inspires girls to lead through outdoor adventure, inner discovery, and collective action. They use immersion in nature as a catalyst for personal transformation, preparing girls and women to lead inclusive, resilient communities, and motivating them to protect the natural world. GirlVentures builds confidence, empathy, and life skills, enabling transformative change that lasts a lifetime. They provide scholarships for 80% of our participants and serve primarily youth of color. Your support enables them to continue empowering girls from diverse communities to find their place in nature.

PROGRAMS DURING THE COVID19 PANDEMIC

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, GirlVentures is also offering virtual programs and online experiential learning opportunities that include adapted leadership and environmental stewardship curriculum and group and individual mentorship, and will continue to evolve their programming approach to meet the needs of their community.

As we adapt, their in-person and virtual leadership and environmental stewardship curriculum provides girls with the resilience and problem-solving skills they need to navigate the challenging terrain of daily life.

    Hello!

I just watched a documentary premiere about an amazing non-profit called True North Treks that takes young adult cancer patients from all over the US on wilderness treks. They are currently soliciting gear donations (in addition to financial donations), in case you would be able to supply anything to them.
    Gear donation page: http://www.truenorthtreks.org/donating-gear.html

Thank you for all you do,
