For over a decade, we’ve looked past the Golden Gate Bridge from our Presidio store and dreamt of being part of the community up there. The only problem was finding the space we need to give Marin County a real, true, Sports Basement experience. Now, our dreams are finally coming true! We have a place to stay, and we can’t wait to meet our new North Bay friends.

Our newest store is located in 100 Vintage Way, where the Macy’s Furniture store used to be. We've been hard at work transforming it into 50,000 square feet of completely awesome Sports Basement-ness. And we're proud to say that we've built a Sports Basement that you're going to love.

Construction updates

We finally look like ourselves! Our name is up on the building, our floors are sealed, and our signature comfy couches are ready for your enjoyment. Now that we've got our offices set up our staff are calling dibs on their favorite spots and we've got a spot for you! We're currently hiring for non-seasonal positions so if you love doing anything outdoors, talking about the outdoors, and working in Novato, then you should apply here. Community Updates

A lot of our staff is from the Marin/Novato area! Our Senior Marketer and stafflete Dana, (the person in the pink top in this picture) has been riding Marin's gorgeous roads for years. You can learn more about her and her rides here. Prepping for a store opening involves more than just hammers and comfy couch hunts, though - our staff is getting to know Marin from the dirt on up - do you know where this photo was taken?  

While our doors have only just opened, we were honored to have co-hosted our store's very first event! On May 19th we took to the road on our bikes with Marin Cyclists, Marin County Bicycle Coalition, and you! We had so much fun hanging out with our community and can't wait to see you at future events!
