A NOTE FROM SPORTS BASEMENT: The pandemic continues to impact our staffing and operations. As a result, a few of the most labor intensive features of our bus have been reduced or eliminated for the foreseeable future. To reduce costs and to ensure our stores and buses can run properly, we will now need to operate with just one SB guide. As a result, we will initially offer reduced departure dates and locations, as well as eliminating the pre-loaded gear option, hot coffee, and variable ticket pricing. As always, safety is our number one priority. It's unclear what CDC guidance will be in January, but it is likely all riders will be required to be vaccinated or show a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the departure. Masks will likely also be required for the duration of the trip, while not eating or drinking.

- 6:00 AM Buses depart from Walnut Creek
- 3:15 PM Bus access, Apres Ski snacks, and drinks available
- 4:15 PM Buses depart Palisades Tahoe
- After 7:30 PM Arrive at Walnut Creek
- After 8:00 PM Arrive at Berkeley, Bryant St., Sunnyvale

Is the bus operating during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Yes! We are BACK! Opening day is January 8, 2022.
What safety precautions will be in place?
It's unclear what CDC guidance will be in January, but it is likely all riders will be required to be vaccinated or show a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the departure. Masks will likely also be required for the duration of the trip, while not eating or drinking.
How do I change or cancel my reservation? There are a number of ways:
1) If it's more than 48 hours prior to the trip, you can do it yourself by clicking the 'Manage this booking' link in your confirmation email.
2) Email email@example.com.
3) Call our Help Hub at (800) 869-6670.
Reminder: There are no refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the purchased trip. You may reschedule, though, at any time.
Can I get my rental gear pre-loaded onto the bus?
Not currently. Due to staffing constraints as a result of the pandemic, we are no longer able to offer this service. Gear will need to be brought home and then brought to the bus the morning of the departure. We are exploring adding this option back, but for an additional fee.
Can I rent gear the morning of the bus?
Unfortunately, no. The stores will not be open to accommodate last minute rentals.
How do I reserve rental gear for the bus if it is within 2 days?
A 2 day lead time is required for online rental reservations; however, you can come into the store the day prior to your bus trip to rent gear in person.
Does the ski bus have bathrooms or WiFi?
Yep! All of our ski buses come equipped with bathrooms and WiFi. Most buses also come equipped with electrical charging outlets as well. We also stock the bus with plenty of snacks, water, & other beverages (including iced coffee!) to enjoy on the way to and from the mountain.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! Iced coffee, Noah's bagels, yogurt, and bars are provided for breakfast. CLIF Bars are provided for the mountain. And finally, a full après ski selection of beer, wine, and snacks are provided before you head home.
Are lift tickets included?
Lift tickets for Palisades Tahoe are NOT included. But we will be offering discounts later on this season!
Is there an age-restriction?
All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What if the bus is full?
If you click on the full date that you are interested in, it will automatically give you the option to sign up for the wait list. If spaces open up, you will be sent an automated message. Waitlist spots are first come, first serve, so register as soon as you receive the alert.
Is there a cutoff time to book my seat?
Registration closes at 6 pm the day prior to the trip. There are no refunds given to cancellations made within 48 hours of the purchased trip.
Are season passes still available?
Unfortunately, the season passes have been discontinued. If you still have an active pass, it will be honored.
What happens if there's bad weather?
The safety of our ski bus passengers is our top priority. We will run the bus rain or shine, but if weather conditions don't allow for a safe drive both to and from the mountain, the trip will be cancelled. You'll be given the option of receiving a full refund or rescheduling your trip to a later date. Check current Tahoe weather and road conditions (Live HWY 80 camera map).
