Backpacker's Pantry Pesto Pasta with Salmon
Treat yourself to our gourmet pasta dish with slivered almonds, basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella and Romano cheeses, and wild caught smoked salmon. The salmon is a wild caught 2 ounce filet of natural wood smoked salmon. It is packaged separately, within the meal pouch. The pasta is imported freeze-dried Belgian spaghetti and keeps it’s shape and flavor perfectly. Also included is a packet of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil to boost the richness and anti-oxidants. These are great ways to get good fats from freeze dried meals.
- Remove salmon & olive oil pouches, open and add to other ingredients. Add 2-1/4 cups (540 mL) of boiling water to all contents. Stir well. Seal and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. Smoked salmon filet comes in foil pouch. Although unlikely, fish bones may be present. Best By Date on packaging is 3 years from manufacturing date.
